Turkish Development Assistance Report 2016

Turkey’s total amount of Official Development Assistance which were provided in 2016 reached at 6.487,7 billion US Dollars. The realization rate of dividing the Official Development Assistance by Gross National Product (ODA/GNP) was amount to 0.76%, which was above 0.7% target of the United States for the first time in its history. In a similar manner to the past years, humanitarian aids that were provided for our Syrian brothers and sisters by not remaining indifferent to the crisis to which Syrians
were exposed correspond to the greatest share among the Official Development Assistance. Turkey was also the second country after the United States of America to provide humanitarian aids most in 2016. Furthermore, our country has kept its position as being the most generous country around the world with the rate of the humanitarian aids which reached at 0,69% by the Gross National Produc.
