Descrição
pt
Artificial Intelligence (AI), with its boundless potential and creative methodologies, is poised to play a pivotal role in the battle against climate change. Launched in June 2023, the UNFCCC Technology Mechanism Initiative on Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Climate Action (#AI4ClimateAction) explores the potential role of AI as a powerful technological tool for transformative adaptation and mitigation solutions in developing countries, particularly in least-developed countries (LDCs) and small island developing states (SIDS).
The Technology Mechanism, in collaboration with the COP 28 Presidency of the United Arab Emirates, hosts the AI4CLimateAction high-level event to provide a space for policy discussion, awareness raising and exchange of knowledge and experience among stakeholders on opportunities and challenges of climate solutions powered by AI. The event will discuss various aspects of the application of AI for climate action to help accelerate the implementation of the Paris Agreement.
